Okay, so maybe those words don't seem to make sense.  To the world in which we live, broken things need to be fixed or tossed aside.  Especially in our western culture, it almost seems that only the strong and whole are beautiful.  Only the ones who have 'conquered it all' and 'climbed the mountain' are truly beautiful. Only those who have been able to achieve their dreams and made the grade are worthy to be praised.  Only those who make big money or score the big deal or write the next best seller or blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...

Beloved Warrior Brides, broken is beautiful.  Broken is not weak.  It is yielded.  It is the realization that we cannot do it on our own - that our strength is not enough.  It is the place we come to when we discover that Someone greater than ourselves is required to make us whole.  And that is a place of great beauty in the sight of our Abba Daddy.  How we need Him every second of every day.

Not one of us has 'arrived' in every way.  Not one of us has every answer to every question.  I've yet to meet any human being on this earth who knows it all and does it all right.  Until Yeshua returns and we no longer 'see in part and know in part', that will be the way it is. Every time I've thought I finally had it all together, Holy Spirit has made it abundantly clear that I will always need Him, always have need of what He alone can do in my life to 'fix' me.  I asked Him years ago to do whatever was necessary in my life to keep me humble.  In the way that is truly beautiful to Him, I choose to be forever broken in the right way.  In the way of humility, I mean.

Human beings aren't my standard.  There is only one 'standard' worthy of measuring myself against.  There is no one who can hold a candle to Him, and no greater love in my heart than the love I carry for my Abba Father.  And Beloved Warrior Brides, He thinks broken is beautiful!

Proverbs 3:34 in the NIV says, "He mocks proud mockers but shows favor to the humble and oppressed."  James 4:6 echoes those words, as well.  GOD loves humility. He hates pride.  He will draw near to the humble and resist the proud.  And so He will do what needs to be done, present opportunities and trials and allow circumstances to come that will help us get there.  Sometimes, that can be a painful and difficult process, but the end result can also be more beautiful than we can possibly imagine!

He keeps your tears in a bottle.  He hears the cries of your heart.  He knows your pain and suffering.  And the good news is:  He will use it ALL.  Every bit.  Every struggle, every triumph, every joy, every sorrow, every every every everything you endure.  And He will do it with grace.  He will do it with tenderness and strength.  He will do it in ways that will amaze you as you look back one day and see the movement of His hand in your behalf.  He is GOOD.  Always.  Forever GOOD.  Forever YHVH.

So when you walk through trials, lift your eyes above the hills from where your help comes. Beloved, your help comes from the One Who created everything  Your help comes from the One Who knows your greatest desires and your deepest needs.  He is always faithful to finish His work.  That's His promise to you and to me this day.  Not one word He has spoken will be left undone.  It will all make sense when we stand before His throne and see Him in His glory.

Embrace the brokenhearted.  Love the unlovable.  Rich and them all.  Sometimes those with the greatest needs are those who know how to hide it best.  Pray for the gift to see past the smile into the hearts of the wounded.  Pray for the desire to be used as a vessel to bring hope into lives that are filled with hopelessness.  And remember that YHVH loves the brokenhearted.

What an amazing Father He is.

God speaks to us in many ways.  It's easy enough to hear Him speaking through creation and we all do hear Him speak in that way.   In Romans 1:19,20, Paul writes:  "For that which is known about GOD is evident to them and made plain in their inner consciousness, because GOD [Himself] has shown it to them.  For ever since the creation of the world, His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made (His handiworks).  So [men] are without excuse [altogether without any defense or justification]."  (Amplified)
In these verses, Paul is addressing the issue of rebellion, but that isn't the point I want to make here.  The point is:  we have the absolute and undeniable evidence of YHWH, Creator of all things, making Himself known through the very world around us!
According to these verses, we all know YHVH is real.  Even those who deny His very existence KNOW He is real.  Creation testifies of His existence, yes.  But it also says that His power and divinity have been made intelligible and CLEARLY DISCERNIBLE in and through the things He’s made.  So, He ABSOLUTELY speaks to everyone – through His creation! You’ve heard His voice through creation, but that’s just one form of the many ways He wants to communicate with us.   Isn’t that wonderful!?!
I often meet individuals who say they don’t hear His voice.  Well, beloved, it isn’t that they haven’t heard it.  It may just be a matter of understanding how to listen. The reason I’ve used the verses from Romans is to encourage people to realize that GOD has spoken to them in at least one way already.  So let’s examine some of the other ways He communicates with us.
An obvious method of communication is through the Bible, the written word of YHVH.  For those who are believers, that is the one way we can agree He speaks today.  But what about other forms of communication? Unfortunately, there are those in the body of Christ who believe that is the ONLY way He speaks.  I believe that limits their relationships with Him in many ways.
For example, in your relationships with family, friends, co-workers and others you encounter when you’re shopping or getting directions, or whatever…have you always used the same form of communication?  Nope.  Not at all.  Imagine how boring that would be – to only communicate with everyone in exactly the same way all of the time!  (I know, I’m answering for you.  Be patient with me.  There is a point!)
To prove my point, I’ll use a few examples.  Sometimes you use a phone.  Sometimes you text.  Sometimes you use email or regular mail or ask someone to deliver a message for you.  Sometimes you use your body language to get a point across to someone.  Sometimes you may speak in a second language.  Sometimes you give a gift or a hug or a smile.  You get the idea.  We all communicate in many ways – just like our Abba Father.  We are made in His image and in His likeness… And He likes to talk in a lot of ways!
He spoke to us through Yeshua.  He directs us through the ministry of angels {Hebrews 1:4) He speaks to us through loved ones, ministers, the Bible, in dreams and visions (Joel 2:28), He speaks to us through wisdom and discernment, through lessons learned as He reminds us of past experiences.  He speaks to us oftentimes in very unusual ways through Holy Spirit.  It may be through an impression that something isn’t quite right in a situation, or by an impression to turn a certain direction and go to a certain location at a specific time for a reason totally unknown to the one being sent.  It may be through words of knowledge received from another person or a prophetic word given by someone.  He may speak to us through a movie or a billboard on the highway.  His ways are NOT our ways!  We must not limit Him to our perception of Who He is and what He does – and how He does it!
Of course, there is a danger in opening ourselves up to hearing His voice in other ways than the ways to which we are accustomed.  And that danger is that we could fall into deception, especially if we are not living in close relationship with Him.  So I want to make sure it’s very clear that I’m not advocating that you believe every voice you hear whispering in your ear!  What we hear must be able to be lined up with the Bible and that is another whole issue in itself.  We must ask Holy Spirit to confirm the word we are hearing, because deception and the deceiver are always waiting at the door to trip up Father’s children.
I think the most important thing we can do to hear Him clearly, though, is to be in a deep and intimate relationship with Him.  It is in that place of intimacy where we learn to hear and recognize His voice.  We get there by studying His word and asking Him to teach us as we study.  We get there through putting Him first in all things, loving Him above and beyond anyone else in this world and most definitely more than anything material.  We get there through prayer and fasting as His Spirit directs.  We get there as we listen and obey His commands.  We get there as we walk with Him, line upon line, precept upon precept, day by day.  We get there when He becomes more important than anything or anyone in this world…more important even than ourselves and our plans.
It is through the intimacy with Him that we learn the importance of obedience to Him.  It’s in that place where we discover His joy and delight in us, His desires for us and where we can sense the amazing presence of His glorious Spirit as He pours out His love over us.  It is in that place of sweet communion where our precious, loving and strong Abba Father holds us close, shares His heart and listens to ours.  It’s a tender and beautiful place to be – and it’s the place where He longs for all of His little ones to live.  It is in THAT place of living that we learn to hear His voice in all of the beautiful ways and languages He chooses to use to speak to us.

Beloved, we’ve been made in the image of YHVH, Abba Daddy, Father.  However, we are not the ones who came up with the brilliant idea to have many different forms of communication! Ask Him to reveal Himself to you in every way He wants to do so.  He has a lot to say!!!
