Okay, so maybe those words don't seem to make sense.  To the world in which we live, broken things need to be fixed or tossed aside.  Especially in our western culture, it almost seems that only the strong and whole are beautiful.  Only the ones who have 'conquered it all' and 'climbed the mountain' are truly beautiful. Only those who have been able to achieve their dreams and made the grade are worthy to be praised.  Only those who make big money or score the big deal or write the next best seller or blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...

Beloved Warrior Brides, broken is beautiful.  Broken is not weak.  It is yielded.  It is the realization that we cannot do it on our own - that our strength is not enough.  It is the place we come to when we discover that Someone greater than ourselves is required to make us whole.  And that is a place of great beauty in the sight of our Abba Daddy.  How we need Him every second of every day.

Not one of us has 'arrived' in every way.  Not one of us has every answer to every question.  I've yet to meet any human being on this earth who knows it all and does it all right.  Until Yeshua returns and we no longer 'see in part and know in part', that will be the way it is. Every time I've thought I finally had it all together, Holy Spirit has made it abundantly clear that I will always need Him, always have need of what He alone can do in my life to 'fix' me.  I asked Him years ago to do whatever was necessary in my life to keep me humble.  In the way that is truly beautiful to Him, I choose to be forever broken in the right way.  In the way of humility, I mean.

Human beings aren't my standard.  There is only one 'standard' worthy of measuring myself against.  There is no one who can hold a candle to Him, and no greater love in my heart than the love I carry for my Abba Father.  And Beloved Warrior Brides, He thinks broken is beautiful!

Proverbs 3:34 in the NIV says, "He mocks proud mockers but shows favor to the humble and oppressed."  James 4:6 echoes those words, as well.  GOD loves humility. He hates pride.  He will draw near to the humble and resist the proud.  And so He will do what needs to be done, present opportunities and trials and allow circumstances to come that will help us get there.  Sometimes, that can be a painful and difficult process, but the end result can also be more beautiful than we can possibly imagine!

He keeps your tears in a bottle.  He hears the cries of your heart.  He knows your pain and suffering.  And the good news is:  He will use it ALL.  Every bit.  Every struggle, every triumph, every joy, every sorrow, every every every everything you endure.  And He will do it with grace.  He will do it with tenderness and strength.  He will do it in ways that will amaze you as you look back one day and see the movement of His hand in your behalf.  He is GOOD.  Always.  Forever GOOD.  Forever YHVH.

So when you walk through trials, lift your eyes above the hills from where your help comes. Beloved, your help comes from the One Who created everything  Your help comes from the One Who knows your greatest desires and your deepest needs.  He is always faithful to finish His work.  That's His promise to you and to me this day.  Not one word He has spoken will be left undone.  It will all make sense when we stand before His throne and see Him in His glory.

Embrace the brokenhearted.  Love the unlovable.  Rich and them all.  Sometimes those with the greatest needs are those who know how to hide it best.  Pray for the gift to see past the smile into the hearts of the wounded.  Pray for the desire to be used as a vessel to bring hope into lives that are filled with hopelessness.  And remember that YHVH loves the brokenhearted.

What an amazing Father He is.

God speaks to us in many ways.  It's easy enough to hear Him speaking through creation and we all do hear Him speak in that way.   In Romans 1:19,20, Paul writes:  "For that which is known about GOD is evident to them and made plain in their inner consciousness, because GOD [Himself] has shown it to them.  For ever since the creation of the world, His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made (His handiworks).  So [men] are without excuse [altogether without any defense or justification]."  (Amplified)
In these verses, Paul is addressing the issue of rebellion, but that isn't the point I want to make here.  The point is:  we have the absolute and undeniable evidence of YHWH, Creator of all things, making Himself known through the very world around us!
According to these verses, we all know YHVH is real.  Even those who deny His very existence KNOW He is real.  Creation testifies of His existence, yes.  But it also says that His power and divinity have been made intelligible and CLEARLY DISCERNIBLE in and through the things He’s made.  So, He ABSOLUTELY speaks to everyone – through His creation! You’ve heard His voice through creation, but that’s just one form of the many ways He wants to communicate with us.   Isn’t that wonderful!?!
I often meet individuals who say they don’t hear His voice.  Well, beloved, it isn’t that they haven’t heard it.  It may just be a matter of understanding how to listen. The reason I’ve used the verses from Romans is to encourage people to realize that GOD has spoken to them in at least one way already.  So let’s examine some of the other ways He communicates with us.
An obvious method of communication is through the Bible, the written word of YHVH.  For those who are believers, that is the one way we can agree He speaks today.  But what about other forms of communication? Unfortunately, there are those in the body of Christ who believe that is the ONLY way He speaks.  I believe that limits their relationships with Him in many ways.
For example, in your relationships with family, friends, co-workers and others you encounter when you’re shopping or getting directions, or whatever…have you always used the same form of communication?  Nope.  Not at all.  Imagine how boring that would be – to only communicate with everyone in exactly the same way all of the time!  (I know, I’m answering for you.  Be patient with me.  There is a point!)
To prove my point, I’ll use a few examples.  Sometimes you use a phone.  Sometimes you text.  Sometimes you use email or regular mail or ask someone to deliver a message for you.  Sometimes you use your body language to get a point across to someone.  Sometimes you may speak in a second language.  Sometimes you give a gift or a hug or a smile.  You get the idea.  We all communicate in many ways – just like our Abba Father.  We are made in His image and in His likeness… And He likes to talk in a lot of ways!
He spoke to us through Yeshua.  He directs us through the ministry of angels {Hebrews 1:4) He speaks to us through loved ones, ministers, the Bible, in dreams and visions (Joel 2:28), He speaks to us through wisdom and discernment, through lessons learned as He reminds us of past experiences.  He speaks to us oftentimes in very unusual ways through Holy Spirit.  It may be through an impression that something isn’t quite right in a situation, or by an impression to turn a certain direction and go to a certain location at a specific time for a reason totally unknown to the one being sent.  It may be through words of knowledge received from another person or a prophetic word given by someone.  He may speak to us through a movie or a billboard on the highway.  His ways are NOT our ways!  We must not limit Him to our perception of Who He is and what He does – and how He does it!
Of course, there is a danger in opening ourselves up to hearing His voice in other ways than the ways to which we are accustomed.  And that danger is that we could fall into deception, especially if we are not living in close relationship with Him.  So I want to make sure it’s very clear that I’m not advocating that you believe every voice you hear whispering in your ear!  What we hear must be able to be lined up with the Bible and that is another whole issue in itself.  We must ask Holy Spirit to confirm the word we are hearing, because deception and the deceiver are always waiting at the door to trip up Father’s children.
I think the most important thing we can do to hear Him clearly, though, is to be in a deep and intimate relationship with Him.  It is in that place of intimacy where we learn to hear and recognize His voice.  We get there by studying His word and asking Him to teach us as we study.  We get there through putting Him first in all things, loving Him above and beyond anyone else in this world and most definitely more than anything material.  We get there through prayer and fasting as His Spirit directs.  We get there as we listen and obey His commands.  We get there as we walk with Him, line upon line, precept upon precept, day by day.  We get there when He becomes more important than anything or anyone in this world…more important even than ourselves and our plans.
It is through the intimacy with Him that we learn the importance of obedience to Him.  It’s in that place where we discover His joy and delight in us, His desires for us and where we can sense the amazing presence of His glorious Spirit as He pours out His love over us.  It is in that place of sweet communion where our precious, loving and strong Abba Father holds us close, shares His heart and listens to ours.  It’s a tender and beautiful place to be – and it’s the place where He longs for all of His little ones to live.  It is in THAT place of living that we learn to hear His voice in all of the beautiful ways and languages He chooses to use to speak to us.

Beloved, we’ve been made in the image of YHVH, Abba Daddy, Father.  However, we are not the ones who came up with the brilliant idea to have many different forms of communication! Ask Him to reveal Himself to you in every way He wants to do so.  He has a lot to say!!!

All kinds of giants...  Genesis 6:4 is my starting place, but that's not where I'm going to land, so hang on, dear readers...

"The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown." (NIV)

There is a huge amount of literature and probably thousands of videos on Youtube about these giants and their origins. I've watched a lot of it and, although I am sure many people would think I'm a bit looney for believing it, I have to admit that I do.  I don't think that the genuine sightings and encounters that people are experiencing the world over are anything less than demonic.  However, I truly believe it is just one of the many deceptions the enemy Satan has prepared for these end times in which we are living.  But rather than getting caught up in all of the debate about the authenticity of what we're seeing and where it's coming from, for this particular blog post I just want to focus on where our focus should be focused!

You and I are really living in the second most exciting time in history.  The coming of our LORD, Yeshua/Jesus 2,000 years ago was the 'first' most exciting time.  I wonder what it was like to have actually seen him everyday and listened to him talk.  Just to have been around him would have been so amazingly awesome!  What a GIFT those people had been given:  to just be WITH him...  I cannot imagine what that would have been like.

Please don't misunderstand.  I know he is with me everyday - his word promised us that he would send another 'Comforter' - Holy Spirit - to be 'with us and in us'.  John 14:16,17 in the NIV records it thus,
"16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you". I know that he is with me and there are no words to express the depth of my gratitude for every single moment of his presence and counsel, his comfort, love, correction and wisdom.  He is beyond amazing and I love him so much.

Years ago when I lived in Florida, I served as a pastor in a church where there were many people who had come from different Christian faith backgrounds.  As such, they all had many different belief systems about the return of Christ and the timing of it all.  After listening to the debates that went on about it, I took the matter before the LORD.  He sent me to Matthew 24.  When I read it, I was given understanding about the timing and the LORD told me several things.  If you read it without any denominational filters and take it to him, also, genuinely seeking his word, you may receive your own confirmation, too.  I'm not going to go into what he told me in this post, for that is a whole post in and of itself.  Instead, I will just tell you what he said at the end of his conversation with me.  Ready?  Here it is...

He said the timing is not the important issue.  He said the important thing is that we will all have a face-to-face meeting with him one day - whether through death or when he comes in the clouds - and he wants us to get ready for that meeting!  Not very many words, but lots and lots and lots of information!  How do we get ready for the meeting?  Again, that is for another blog time...

For now, here we are.  The giants in the land.  Whether nephilim...or the gossipy tongue...or the hateful words and thoughts directed at others...or pornography...or entitlement mentalities...or self-righteousness...or lying lips...or adulterous behavior...  The list goes on and on and on...

So my question for all of us is, what are we doing to uncover the giants?  Are we running away from them mentally - avoiding the confrontations that would require us to pick up our 5 smooth stones and engage them and their brothers in a battle to the death?  Beloved, someone in this battle has to die.  Will it be you or them?  Will you kill off the things that are trying to destroy you and your relationship with Yeshua/Jesus?  Or will you hide like King Saul and the whole army of Israel did in that time - afraid of the confrontation and what it would cost them?  Are you wrapped up in the armor of some denominational belief system that is not comfortable and will not allow you to fight as you ought?  Have you fought your bear and lion on the hills of your land, learning that there is NOTHING too great for you to overcome if you fight alongside the Angel of the LORD?  Do you see the multitude of angelic host that have come to do battle with you?  Are you asking for wisdom and discernment to recognize the enemy, so that you are not deceived by anything or anyone...knowing that no weapon formed against you will prosper when you stand on the side of the King of kings and LORD of lords?  Are you refreshing yourself daily by eating from the Tree of LIFE (for HE says he is LIFE) or are you hiding because your focus has been stolen from His word and His promises?  Are you eating instead from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, running away because fear has gripped your heart in these tumultuous days?

Let me encourage you to remember:  YESHUA IS THE TREE OF LIFE!  HE IS THE ULTIMATE KING WHO SLAYS GIANTS!  So do not be afraid!  Be fearless!  The LORD is MIGHTY TO SAVE and it is he who goes before you!  He is the CAPTAIN OF THE ARMY!  He will not be defeated!  Look around you and run into the battle!  Prepare yourself through prayer, study, worship, praise, thankfulness, giving and most especially of all - THROUGH DEVELOPING AND DEEPENING THE RELATIONSHIP THAT HE WANTS TO HAVE WITH YOU!  David learned that powerful lesson on the hills with the flocks when there was no one else around.  He learned to worship, he learned to hear his Father in heaven.  He learned how to be his friend and companion.

Keep your eyes open to see what the LORD is doing.  He is your example.  He only did what he saw his father do.  Keep your ears open to hear.  He only said what he heard his father saying.  Keep your heart - guard it with all that you are - for the enemy comes to steal it, to destroy and kill it and you. He comes to steal the work you've been given to do for the Father and his kingdom.  He comes to bring confusion and distraction in every way possible.  He comes to deceive you into believing his ways and thoughts.  Don't let yourself be distracted.  David didn't look away from the giant when he went to fight him.  He kept his focus and ran against the enemy, sure of victory, sure of son-ship, sure of the GOD who called him and equipped him for the task.

Giants come in all sizes, beloved.  They come dressed in fine clothes and soft words.  They come with great temptation, knowing what pleases your eye and touches your heart.  Pray that you will NEVER be deceived by them.  Get as close to the Captain of the Army as you can - the True King - Yeshua/Jesus - and listen as he sends you his orders.  He is good.  He is faithful.  He will never ever send you into a battle that you cannot win - even though it may at times be difficult to recognize what the victory looks like - but you must be sure that is he who is doing the sending!

So whether Nephilim or not, just remember there are always giants, but there is One who is greater than them all and he cannot be defeated!  I leave you with these words from Revelation 19:11-16,

"I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse whose rider is called Faithful and True.  With justice he judges and makes war.  His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns.  He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.  He is dressed in a robed dipped in blood and his name is the Word of God.  The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.  Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations.  He will rule them with an iron scepter.  He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.  On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:  KING OF KINDS AND LORD OF LORDS.  And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, 'Come, gather together for the great supper of God, so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and mighty men, of horses and their riders and the flesh of all people, free and slave, small and great'  Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army.  But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf.  With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image.  The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.  The rest of them were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh."  (NIV)

Or perhaps I should say, "Out with the old and in with the new."  I recall the Apostle Paul said it this way in Philippians 12:12-14,

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Just as the seasons change each year, one surrendering itself to the new, having fulfilled its purpose and coming to an end, so are the seasons in the life of the follower of Yeshua/Jesus.

Things are changing in my life once again.  But then, that's the way life goes, isn't it?  And when it happens, if we're not pliable, willing to go forward and ready to embrace the new opportunities and the challenges they bring with them, we may find ourselves with sour dispositions, bumping up against new situations with fearful or angry attitudes and creating unnecessarily awkward circumstances.  We may stunt our growth in Christ, resisting His moves out of pride.

Some of my favorite verses are found in the book of Isaiah.  Chapter 43:18-21, says, "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.  The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise."

You've probably heard it said a thousand different ways.  But we do it, don't we?  We often try to hold onto things that are closing down or dying - things that have run their courses and the doors are closing and the lights are going out - all the while our hearts racing at the thought that something is coming to an end and we're not ready for it to be over.  And thrown into the mix with all of that is the unknown...  What will the future hold?  How will we respond to this new season?  Are we up for the challenge?  Do we have everything we need to 'do a good job'?

How often we feel ill equipped to move forward!  We wonder if we are ready for the task ahead.  We worry and question and doubt and fear...and ask GOD a million times 'WHY', when in reality our question should not be 'WHY', but rather 'What do You have for me now, LORD? How would You have me serve You in this new 'desert' - this place I do not know?  What are You teaching me or doing in or through me in this new hour? How do You want me to move in this new chapter in my life?  Show me the open doors, the opportunities, the needs that are present in this moment, Father.  You are making streams of life out of deserts of dust and sand...please show me how to transition while You let the rivers of new life pour into this new time.  Change me, change me, change me, GOD!.'

We cannot stand still, beloved.  We must move forward with Him at His pace.  He will not run faster than we are able to keep up...but He may hurry us along from time to time.  Psalm 103 says:

Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.  Praise the LORD,O my soul, and forget not all his benefits - who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.  The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.  He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:  The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.  He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.  For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.  As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.  As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting, the LORD'S love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children - with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.  The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.  Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.  Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will.  Praise the LORD, all his works everywhere in his dominion.  Praise the LORD, O my soul."

He will move forward. And we CAN go with Him!  It's time once again to stretch and grow!  This is the thing I know that I know that I know...all we need to do is trust Him, say 'yes, LORD' and rest in knowing that the One who called us is more than able to take us through every circumstance, every challenge and every new assignment.  And I believe we should want to be changed!  Jeremiah 17:9,10 says,

The heart is deceitful above all things
    and beyond cure.
    Who can understand it?

10 “I the Lord search the heart
    and examine the mind,
to reward each person according to their conduct,
according to what their deeds deserve.”

I don't trust my own heart - and well I shouldn't.  We should just lay everything we have and are and know and think - and dream and hope and every plan- on His altar.  We should just surrender to whatever His will may be - not requiring or expecting or demanding anything, instead just expecting for Him to BE who He is.  He is GOD and He knows what is best all of the time!  He is GOOD and His mercies endure forever!  He is all-powerful, all-wise, all-knowing, ever-present, ever-faithful, all-glorious!  We don't need to try to peek around His robes to see what lies ahead.  He will show us, if He so chooses.  We need only trust him.  Trust Him.  Trust.  Him.  Say yes to the One who says to us, "Behold I am doing a NEW THING.  Do you not perceive it?"

Hi, beloved friend.  Here we are at the start of a brand new year and there is a LOT going on!  I have just recently felt that it was time to start a magazine....  It is called THE BANNER and there are already some great articles coming in for the first publication, which is due out on January 21, 2015.  If you think you would be interested in receiving it, please send an email to and I'll get you on the subscription list.  Just put the word 'Subscribe' in the subject line and be sure to include the email address or addresses where you want it delivered. There is no charge for the magazine, which will be available online only.  You can access it via desktops, laptops,  iphones or whatever!

If you have a testimony or prophetic word the LORD has given you, we would be interested in hearing from you.  Or, perhaps you know someone who has something to share to encourage, teach or inform others.
If you're an artist for the LORD and you're looking for an outlet for your artwork to be seen, we're always on the lookout for good quality art or photography that honors GOD and blesses the reader.  We do not pay the artists or photographers right now, so anything submitted and used will have to be given solely for the purpose of service and the free publicity that will accompany it.  Perhaps one day the LORD will take us in the direction of being able to pay for artist submissions, but for now, all monies that come in go toward the costs of producing an online magazine.
The cover artwork chosen for the first edition of THE BANNER was done by a lovely servant/daughter of GOD, who has incredible testimonies, a powerful ministry and also an article in the first issue. She is the pastor of The Brokenhearted Church - an online ministry currently accessible through facebook.  Her name is Clare Watts and she's fully surrendered her life to Yeshua/Jesus.  I believe her writing will bless your heart, if you choose to subscribe.  The same is true for the other individuals who are going to be in this first issue - and some of whom are going to be contributing monthly to the magazine.
I am asking the LORD to send the contributors He wants to use in this venture.  I'm also asking Him to send the financial assistance to be able to cover our costs for the publication, so if you have a hunger to share the word and move of GOD with others in this way, write to me at  You can visit the website to see what we're all about - and I hope you will!  Please pass this blog along, so others have the opportunity, as well.  I have a team that will pray over everything I send their way, so don't hesitate if you have something you would like us to consider including in THE BANNER.

Also, for those of you who have a ministry/business you want to advertise in the magazine, the cost is very minimal, so don't hesitate to contact me about it and we'll talk!

I'm posting the cover of the first edition here on the blog...  Hope to hear from you!

And so, this is just a tiny bit of what the LORD is doing in my little circle right now.  I'll post more in the very near future, but for now it's time to jump off here.  I still have articles and design to get to, kitties to feed, puppies to feed, a husband to feed...  LOL!

I hope you have an extraordinary, life changing, love-filled week!  You are truly loved!
